Why work with us

Coded welders. Traceable steel. Paperwork that clears building control.

Founded by Stephen in 2013. Every welder is coded to the process they weld on. Every steel section is traced from mill certificate to install. Every job leaves with the paperwork building control expects.

Common questions

Steel fabrication questions we get asked in Dublin

Most quotes go out within one working day of us seeing drawings or a site photo. Fabrication time depends on the job: a set of handrails or a pedestrian gate is usually a short run through the workshop, while a full structural steel frame or a feature staircase takes longer because of detailing, coded welding and finishing. We give you a firm lead time with the price so you can plan the rest of the build around it.
EN 1090-1 is the standard that lets structural steel be CE marked and legally used in construction. EXC3 is the execution class used for most buildings where a failure would be serious, so it carries tighter rules on welding, inspection and traceability. We hold EN 1090-1 EXC3 under OMNI-00174-FPC and ISO 9001:2015 under OMNI-00174-QMS, which means your steel arrives with the declaration of performance and paperwork building control will ask for.
Yes. For anything that has to fit an existing opening, wall or floor, such as staircases, balconies, gates and railings, we survey on site before cutting anything. For new build structural steel we usually work from the engineer's drawings first and then check dimensions on site before fabrication starts.
Both. Everything is fabricated in our workshop at Unit 3 Ashfield Industrial Estate on the Naas Road in Dublin 22 and then delivered to site. We install across Dublin and the surrounding counties, and for some jobs, such as steel supplied to a main contractor with their own erection crew, we deliver only. Tell us which you need and the quote reflects it.
The usual choices are hot dip galvanising for anything outdoors that has to last, galvanising with a powder coat over it when you want a colour, and paint or primer for internal steelwork. Stainless is available where the look or the environment calls for it. We talk through the finish at quote stage because it affects both the price and how long the job takes.
Quotes are free. Send drawings, a sketch or a photo of the space through the contact form, or call the workshop on 01 298 5699 during opening hours, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. In most cases you get a fixed price and a lead time back within one working day.
