Steel fabrication for north Dublin projects

North Dublin runs from dense inner suburbs through coastal villages to the industrial estates around the airport, and each brings its own steel requirements.

Suburban extensions and conversions

Drumcondra, Glasnevin, Santry and Swords generate the same extension and attic work as the south side: beams over rear openings, ridge and floor steel for conversions, and posts where two openings meet at a corner.

Older red brick terraces near the city need particular care with access and with padstone construction in solid walls.

Coastal exposure

Clontarf, Howth, Sutton, Portmarnock and Malahide are genuinely marine environments. Anything external there should be hot dip galvanised, with a powder coat where colour is wanted, and stainless should be grade 316 rather than 304.

We see the consequences of getting this wrong regularly, usually as rust bleeding through a painted balcony rail after three winters.

Commercial and industrial

The estates around the airport, Ballycoolin and Santry bring mezzanine floors, access platforms, plant stairs, security gates and yard railings. These are fabricated to EN 1090-1 EXC3 where structural and installed around operating hours.

For units on secure or airport adjacent sites we plan the delivery and access documentation in advance.

Delivery across the north side

We deliver from Dublin 22 across north Dublin daily. City centre and coastal village access is often restricted, so we confirm the route and any timing restrictions before the load is scheduled.

Send drawings or photographs for a quote, normally back within one working day.
